LemonGuard helps buyers ask better questions. It does not replace a real inspection.

LemonGuard is not a mechanic

LemonGuard is a screening tool for used-car buyers. It does not inspect vehicles, see hidden damage, verify repairs, certify safety, diagnose every fault, or guarantee that a car is worth buying.

Use it before you waste time

The product is meant to help buyers spot missing information, risky claims, known model-year issues, recalls, complaints, seller questions, and inspection priorities before they contact a seller or buy a car.

Get an independent inspection

Always have any used vehicle independently inspected by a qualified mechanic before purchasing. Walk away if a seller refuses a reasonable inspection.

SoundCheck is probability, not diagnosis

SoundCheck can identify probable sound patterns from an audio recording, but it cannot confirm the actual mechanical cause. Background noise, recording quality, and missing vehicle context can affect results.

Photos, listings, and public data can miss things

Listing analysis, screenshots, uploaded photos, recalls, complaints, market context, and seller statements can all be incomplete or misleading. LemonGuard may miss hidden damage, title problems, unsafe repairs, maintenance gaps, fraud, or issues that only appear during an in-person inspection.
