How LemonGuard handles app, purchase, support, analytics, ads, and vehicle-analysis data.

Last updated: May 31, 2026

What LemonGuard collects

LemonGuard may process the information you provide in the app, including vehicle listing URLs, listing text, screenshots, VINs, manual vehicle details, uploaded vehicle photos, audio recordings for SoundCheck, saved inspection records, notes, generated reports, and support messages.

The app may also process app customer identifiers, device and app diagnostics, purchase entitlement records, product identifiers, transaction metadata from app-store billing systems, and usage events that help us understand whether the product is working.

How the information is used

We use this information to generate used-car analysis, create and retrieve reports, support paid entitlements, restore purchases, troubleshoot failures, improve reliability, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, and operate the LemonGuard app and website.

LemonGuard is designed for buyer triage. You should not submit information that is not needed for a used-car review, and you should avoid including unnecessary personal or payment information in uploads, recordings, screenshots, or support emails.

AI processing

LemonGuard uses AI systems to help analyze listings, screenshots, vehicle details, uploaded photos, and audio recordings when you choose to submit them. AI results may be incomplete or incorrect, and LemonGuard does not replace an independent mechanic inspection.

Data submitted for analysis may be sent to configured AI providers so they can process the request and return a result. Do not submit sensitive information that is not relevant to the vehicle you want reviewed.

Payments and entitlements

Paid reports and subscriptions are purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play billing in the mobile app. LemonGuard uses RevenueCat to manage purchase status, subscriptions, and entitlements.

Apple, Google, and RevenueCat may process purchase-related information according to their own policies. LemonGuard does not ask you to send payment card details by email.

Analytics, diagnostics, and ads

LemonGuard may use PostHog or similar analytics tools to understand app usage, improve product quality, and diagnose product issues. LemonGuard may use Sentry or similar tools for crash reporting and error diagnostics.

If ads are enabled, LemonGuard may use Google AdMob to show ads in allowed placements for free users. Ad delivery may involve device, app, and advertising signals controlled by your device and platform settings. If ads are not enabled in a particular build, the policy still describes the intended ads infrastructure before launch.

Service providers

LemonGuard may use service providers for app hosting, website hosting, AI analysis, payments and entitlement management, analytics, crash reporting, ads, file storage, and support email. The current provider set includes RevenueCat, Apple App Store, Google Play, AdMob, Sentry, PostHog, configured AI providers, hosting/CDN providers, and support email infrastructure.

These providers process information only for the purposes needed to operate LemonGuard, provide support, comply with platform requirements, and maintain the app and website.

Retention

LemonGuard keeps information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain reports and account-related workflows, troubleshoot problems, comply with legal or payment obligations, prevent abuse, and support users.

Exact retention periods can vary by data type and provider. For example, support emails, purchase records, analytics, crash reports, uploaded files, generated reports, and export archives may follow different retention rules.

Deletion and export

The mobile app includes account deletion and data export request paths tied to the app customer ID. Deletion may remove or anonymize LemonGuard records associated with that ID, but some records may remain where needed for legal, security, payment, fraud-prevention, or operational reasons.

If you cannot access the in-app flow, email support@getlemonguard.com. Do not include payment card details in email.

Children

LemonGuard is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to LemonGuard, contact support@getlemonguard.com so we can review the request.
